Paper Inner Sleeve Condition

The original flip-top picture/advertisement paper inner sleeve is in VG+ to Ex condition.  It is wrinkled but remarkably intact and not yellowed with age.  I have always stored the record itself in a traditional Japanese “U” shaped poly-plastic inner sleeve, both to protect the paper inner sleeve from damage and (primarily) to protect the record from damage.

Lyric Insert Condition

No detached lyric insert came with this album (not with either of my copies), the lyrics are all written in Japanese in the pages attached to the inside of the gatefold cover.

Gatefold Cover Condition

Cover in beautiful M- condition, which is very rare for these delicate “foil” covers.  No seam splits or ring-wear, and just a bit of wear to the bottom edge near the mouth/opening.

Record Condition

Amazing, a true archival condition (M-, if I used “Mint” for an open record, this would be it) white label promotional red wax pressing.  I believe this was unplayed, there are NO spindle marks on either label when examined under a bright light at any angle, and there are NO marks of any kind on the vinyl.  A pristine example of some of PP&M’s greatest songs.  I took one careful play all the way through on my VPI/Sumiko Blackbird combo, the sound is fantastic and lives up to the visual condition.  Silent run-in grooves and silence  between tracks, the music is warm and clear.  A superb example that will not (could not) be bettered.

Peter Paul and Mary fans please note that this is an unusual grouping of songs not found elsewhere.  The version of “Puff” here is not the one I’ve known since I was a child, and the rest of the album is a mix of live versions (“Times They Are a Changin’” among others) and studio versions.

A thoroughly enjoyable listening experience, both in sound quality and performance.  Highly recommended to any PP&M fan, you will be very happy with this addition to your collection.  I have had two unplayed red wax promotional copies of this album for years and never listened to either copy before today (6-11-06), the winning bidder may have either the once played copy or the unplayed copy, whichever he or she prefers!

Always stored properly in a heavy outer plastic protective cover, a beautiful example of a very rare red wax promotional Lp by Peter Paul and Mary, and a wonderful listening experience…

At least 36 years old now…

Packaging:

You will see from my eBay feedback that I package very securely.  Records are removed from jackets to prevent seam-splits, records and covers are placed inside re-sealable plastic outer protective covers, and "sandwiched" between two pieces of cardboard cut to a size larger than the album cover in order to protect the cover from corner-dings during shipping. 

I have not had any problems with damaged records as a result of my own packaging, but I do recommend Insurance on the more expensive items, I cannot be held responsible for what happens to the package after it leaves my possession.

Shipping to the U.S.

Priority shipping for a package weighing anywhere from 2lbs. to 3lbs. is $5.00 to $9.00 depending on your location.  I do not charge a "Handling" fee, shipping calculations will be made using the USPS website  (http://postcalc.usps.gov/) based on your Zip code.

Payment for U.S. Buyers:

Money Orders are preferred (no checks).  Paypal is fine.  I do not use eBay's "Check Out" service, so please wait for me to contact you after the auction is complete.  Once I have the winning bidder's address information I will calculate exact shipping using the USPS website (http://postcalc.usps.gov/) and send you a total including (optional but recommended) Insurance and Priority Shipping to your destination.

From my previous international shipping experience, I understand that some people prefer to go without Insurance, have the package declared as a “gift”, and would like a low "Declared Value" to avoid import duties/taxes.  That's fine, but at your own risk, I cannot be responsible for what happens to the package after it leaves my possession.
