For auction today: Peter Wale - The Memoirs of Hakeford Wart or (Goodbye Capetown). Cat # PW LP-100.
Four tracks from the final concert by Peter Wale (ex-Wakeford Hart band) before getting on a yacht and heading to Brazil. All really good tracks on this lp ranging from dark psych-folk to prog rock and 3 of the tracks have either long very trippy, flute solos with large amounts of delay/echo or long electric guitar soloing with wah-wah to the MAX!! Quite astonishing, IMO. A psych/prog collectors dream....really! No hype here at all. Full album of approx 40 minutes. Liner notes on rear by Peter and signed on rear in blue pen by Peter, at the time.
I talked to Peter and he said there were only about 400 of these ever pressed and only a handful were ever sold and they were sold from person to person - not at the concert, so as they say in America: "Do the math."
Full backing band. Allan Faull (RIP) on lead guitar was a member of McCully Workshop and the album was part-engineered by Tully McCully.

Condition: Cover has about half the spine is worn away from being damp and then flaking off when dried and same for the lower seam. Light r/wear to front and signs of handling but only light and minor. Disc has a few marks and scuffs on both sides. Some of them are heavy-ish but NONE affect play...as has been tested on my Rega-2. Disc has been played all the way through - twice and it plays around EX or better. No jumps or sticking at all.
Please note: Disc has not been cleaned. Still in the same condition as when it was found by me, meaning that it has fingermarks and general dirt and grubbiness from about 40 years. When it comes to lp's of this rarity, I like to leave it to the buyer to do what they want with it.
Graded: cover/disc = VG+/VG.

Pokora book lists this lp as 1975 release. I think that would have been a guess because Peter Wale told me today that it was released in 1972. I'll take that as gospel.
