I am selling some items like Records, CD's, DVD's, comics, trading cards and other collectibles. I have been collecting and have for over 20 Years of experience. So I have some experience and grading and selling. This week I will be listing some 1960's, 1970's, & 1980's rock to soundtrack vintage vinyls all original unless noted. Up for sale is Phantasm (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) by Fred Myrow and Malcolm Seagrave (2015)( MOND-057), Mondo Records is a 2nd Reissue in Vinyl with the white logo. The cover is in Mint condition as its still in the plastic shrink and has being stored also with a protective plastic sleeve. The record is in Mint condition, no static when played from beginning to end both sides. The soundtrack is from the classic horror film that was directed by Don Cascarelli. The film is about two brothers who live in a small town.

The film begins with one young guy in the cemetery and is killed by the lady in lavender. The older brother Jody goes to his brother's funeral at the Morningside cemetery and is stopped by the tall man played by Angus Scrimm while walking around the mausoleum. After the funeral his younger brother Mike starts spying his brother's casket and witnesses he tall man carrying the casket with one hand. Things take a turn when mike enters the mausoleum is chase by the caretaker and a flying sphere that kills the the caretaker. The tall man encounters mike and runs after him, but Mike runs away and goes back to the basemen where he entered The tall man's hand gets caught on a door, mike cuts his fingers yellow blood comes out. Decides to get one of the fingers and chase by his guards that are dwarfs try to grab him in the basement by this front and breaks free through the window and escapes.

He tells his brother what is going on the next day and shows him a box that has the finger that he took later turns into a giant fly. Has there friend Reggie sees the fly and also know about the weird things that are going on the Morningside cemetery. They encounter a hearse, start a car chase after Jody goes to the cemetery to investigate and is attacked by a dwarf that he shoots.Later they enter a room that is full of barrels that have small windows and contain dwarfs. Mike puts his hand on big long tube that is a Spacegate and gets sucked inside sees the tall man's minions getting barrels. They figure out the get sucked into the Spacegate when there ready to be the tall man's slave. The light suddenly turns off and turns on again Reggie is left alone in the room he touches one of the Spacegates it pushes him starts a whirlwind of gravity and is killed by the lady in lavender. It gravity makes the Mornignside cemetery disappear they leave and mike is found by the tall man in his house. He cases him once again the tall man falls in a whole and Jody throws some big rocks at him. The film ends with Mike waking up from the nightmare and Jody is now dead, Reggie is now taking care of Mike. Mike goes into his room closes his closet and sees the tall man in the mirror and is taken by his minions. 

This is the second time the Soundtrack has been reissued in vinyl in 36 years. It was reissued and remastered in CD back in 2002. The soundtrack has been remastered and pressed in 180 gram vinyl for best quality sound. Originally the soundtrack had only 16 tracks,  in 2002 a bonus track was included called outtakes. It was only released in the UK in the 1980s at the time. 

The album cover Gatefold has no flaws as it is Mint condition in a plastic has been preserve and stored away. And the Gatefold is a Foil Silver Sphere Limited Edition. The record has no scratches as it is still glossy I don't see any so it's Mint condition both sides. The record comes in a generic paper sleeve and plastic sleeve and does not come with the record sleeve. The Record doesn't skip on both sides when you play from beginning to end , other then than that the label of the record and cover has no writing, tape, moisture damage as it is clean. Other then that looks decent even the label is cleaned.
The record has been opened and played once to see if it has any defects when played as sometimes they due when being new.That is the reason I opened it to make sure it had no defects. The record even comes with new art original work of the cover, Gatefold and back cover, comes with linernotes of the director and composer printed in high quality paper. This a most have and will become even more popular after the  Angus Scrimm passed away 3 years ago of  January 10, 2015 at age 89.

This is my record grading standards I use, if you don't agree let me know and I will change it or give me your opinion. If you don't like my grading system then do not bid or think before bidding. When you bid like I said bid with confidence. 
RECORD GRADING GUIDELINES FOR VINYL RECORDS:
Mint (M): Perfect. I will only use this for a brand new, sealed item. Near Mint (NM): A nearly perfect record. No obvious signs of wear, though there may be very slight imperfections inherent in the vinyl pressing. Excellent (EX): This is a listing that may not quite be NM, but is just too good to be listed as any variation of “VG”. Very Good Plus (VG+): Record shows some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Slight warps not affecting the sound are OK. Label may have some ring wear or discoloration. Very Good (VG): Record may have some light scratches and scuffs that may affect the sound especially in softer passages of the record, but will not overpower the music. There will be no skips in the record. Very Good Minus (VG-): Record will have scratches and scuffs that will affect the sound. The noise will not detract from enjoying the record. Very old records with significant wear will be listed under this classification. There will be no skips in the record.
FOR LP COVERS & 45 & EP SLEEVES:
Mint (M): Perfect. Again…a brand new, sealed item. Near Mint (NM): No creases, folds, seam splits, or cut-out holes. Only the slightest signs of handling may be visible. Excellent (EX): This is a listing that may not quite be NM, but is just too good to be listed as any variation of “VG”. Very Good Plus (VG+): Slight creases or signs of wear may be visible. May be marred by a cut-out hole or other indication that it was taken out-of-print. Very Good (VG): Creases, significant wear, and significant ring wear will be visible. No splits or tape. Very Good Minus (VG-): Creases, significant wear, and significant ring wear will be visible more so than on a VG cover. Splits or tape may be present. There may be some writing on the cover.

The Record or Records will be bagged and boarded and will include two pieces of cardboard taped to the front and back for added protection.
