Description

Pharoah Sanders:  thembi ABC Impulse AS-9206 1971 

Jacket: (EX)  Front:  Light shelf wear Rear:  Light shelf and ring wear Spline:  bottom corner shows wear. (pictured)
Vinyl: (visual grade) Side 1 - Visual grade EX - clean with original gloss - one superficial mark that cannot be felt with a fingertip and isn't audible (pictured) Side 2:  Visual Grade:  EX/NM - looks very nice
Vinyl: (play grade) - PLEASE READ !!!! Side 1 - Play grade - listening to the entire side 1 first, I would give this an EX grade.   Side 2 - Play grade - There's a slight defect in the vinyl immediately noticeable when starting side 2.  To describe the defect audibly, I would say it's like a hint of static.  The defect is not:  warping or a scratch, it seems to be more of a flat spot.  The audible sound is the needle moving side to side quickly while staying in the groove.  This defect dissipates as you get 3/4 of the way into the first track.  The rest of side 2 sounds very good.  (I then went back to side one to see if I missed it on side 1, but it doesn't translate as noticeable on side 1.)  Please ask questions if you don't fully understand as I tried to be as descriptive as possible here.
