PLEASE READ OUR AUCTION TERMS AND ASK YOUR
QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING. OUR SALES ARE FINAL.
Category: Classical LP
Label: Philips (mono, no stereo)
Reference: S 05.801 R
Titles: La Boite A Joujoux
Composer: Andre HELLE
Performer: Yvonne LEFEBURE & Pierre BERTIN
Cover condition: VG++
Record condition: VG+
Description:
This is the rare reedition (original by Polydor, extremely rare) in 10" format.
Features the very sought after Yvonne LEFEBURE pianist.
Those Philips records did not have plastic-coated sleeves, therefore they were much more fragile and would wear more quickly than Erato records for example. This sleeve is still in very enjoyable condition compared to most other records of the same Philips collection. No rim split, no writings, no tears, only light corner wear on opening side and light ink removal due to partial adhesive tape removal on the top (quite discrete). Also, some minor wear on bottom. All can be seen on the large picture I took.
The record is in VG+ condition due to light surface marks on both sides. These marks are artificial and disappear under certain light angles. If you use a cleaning machine you could get up to EX condition and if you use a true mono cartridge, you could well get a great sound quality. There are no deep scratches, no cracks, no needle drops. Condition is still enjoyable but to be fair I grade it VG+.
There is NO RESERVE on this auction so do NOT let it pass.

Grading:
M: MINT. Never listened. Factory sealed, or never sealed.
M-: Near Mint. Highest grade for used records. Record has NO surface marks.
EX+: Very few light marks not affecting play. Only residual dust may tic if record has not been cleaned.
EX: Some surface marks generally not affecting play. In the worst case, few tics will sound.
VG+: Tics from several light surface marks and/or surface noise.
VG: Many tics from many surface marks and/or surface noise.
G: Record is listenable but lots of surface marks will sound.
B: Very bad condition, only sold as a collection filler due to extreme rarity. TERMS
BEFORE BIDDING
ALL QUESTIONS MUST BE ASKED PRIOR TO BIDDING.
BY BIDDING ON THIS AUCTION YOU INDICATE THAT YOU HAVE FULLY READ AND ACCEPTED OUR TERMS AND THAT OUR ANSWER(S) TO YOUR QUESTION(S) AND ADDITIONAL PICTURES ARE SATISFACTORY.
Unless otherwise specified, our items are sold AS IS, AS DESCRIBED, with NO WARRANTY.
There will be NO RETURNS and so NO REFUNDS unless an evident mistake was made in the item description.
What is pictured here is what you get: do not assume anything else is included in the auction unless otherwise specified.
We only use our own pictures and do not alter them to fake the condition of our items.
We grade as best as possible the condition of our items. However, we all have a different opinion (especially for LP and phonograph records). Therefore we strongly recommend that you contact us if you are strict on this matter, otherwise we will assume that our grading is satisfactory.
Please do not ask us to end our auctions early as it is unfair for all other bidders. We only cancel and relist auctions which contain a mistake that cannot be corrected due to actual bids or time restrictions.
If you are concerned about being outbid or being seen by other bidders: your best solution is to use an automatic bidding service (esnipe, etc.) or a free software on your computer and program your bid at any time (be it 1 day, 1 hour, 1 minute or even 1 second before the end of auction). This way nobody can expect your bid and you have the best chances to win the auction.
We do NOT recommend bidding at the last second (snipes) because most people do so using automated tools (online services, software, etc.) and this NEVER gives you another chance to bid again and eventually win the auction.
We will cancel the following bids without exception:
- Bidders with no feedback or with recent negative feedback.
- Sleepy accounts showing very low activity: we hate people who register secondary accounts to shill their auctions. What they do is simple: they bid on several or many items to get some feedback. Once done, they bid on their own items to raise the prices, making it almost impossible for buyers to realize that the account belongs to the seller. EBAY USES INTERNAL TRACKING TOOLS WHICH ALWAYS RECORD YOUR IP AND OTHER INFORMATIONS WHEN YOU BID.
- Suspicious bids, especially those placed little by little just to make the underbidder pay the maximum.
- Bidders who retract their bid in a suspicious manner, for example after outbiding the previous highest bidder in order to know his maximum amount, and then bid again just under this amount so that he pays the maximum. This will always be reported to eBay and often results in an account suspension.
We will not accept any bid retraction unless you bid again in the next two minutes and show that your previous bid was indeed mistaken. Any suspicious bid retraction will result in your ID blocked.
US DOLLARS ARE ONLY ACCEPTED FOR SALES ON EBAY USA AND PAID THROUGH PAYPAL.
ALL OTHER PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE IN EURO.
(Euro conversion using XE.COM as of auction close).
Once the total to pay is given to the high bidder, payment MUST be received by:
- 3 days for PAYPAL users. We do not charge PayPal fees as this is ILLEGAL.
If you use PayPal, your address MUST match the one registered on your eBay account.
- 7 days for French bidders.
- 10 days for European bidders located outside of France.
- 14 days for all other bidders.
Unless agreed prior to bidding, we will not accept slow payments for any reason.
We only accept the following forms of payment:
- PayPal: in EURO except for US sales which can be paid in USD.
- Money Orders (Postal or other) in EURO ONLY.
- Wire transfers (bank to bank) in EURO ONLY.
- Foreign drafts in EURO ONLY (these are bank checks issued by your bank but paid by one of its french divisions, thus avoiding expensive charges to clear foreign payments).
- Personal checks ONLY IF ISSUED BY A FRENCH BANK (held 14 days for clearance).
We reserve the right to refuse any payment not respecting our terms.
We will NOT ship until full payment is received.
SHIPPING
Shipping costs are not negotiable.
Unless otherwise specified, international bidders are welcome but no complaints on the shipping costs will be accepted. We will always make our best to ship as cheaply as possible with the best solutions against troubles such as theft, damage, loss, etc.
Due to our location, some shipping rates and options may not be compatible with the eBay Check-Out system. Should this happen, these rates and/or options will be included in the shipping costs.
We will charge any packing material purchased to ship our items. Used packing material is always free. We do not charge other handling fees.
We carefully pack our items because we want them to arrive to you as we would like to receive them.
Shipping delays:
Because we run a shop, we can only pack our items outside of our opening hours. Therefore, items which are difficult or take some time to pack or which require special care while packing will usually ship within two weeks. Other items usually ship maximum a week after payment is received and cleared. Please understand that our shipping schedules cannot justify a late payment, and that a fast payment cannot expect a fast shipping. We will always make our best to ship as soon as possible.
Local pick-up:
Buyer can collect in our shop during the opening hours (Tuesday to Saturday, 1:00pm - 7:00pm). All items must be paid on time as explained above and picked maximum 30 days after the end of auction otherwise the transaction will be void and we will refund your payment less a 25% restocking fee and all refunding fees (if any).
Non-shipment:
If some items won't be shipped, their descriptions will always mention it.
In this case, we will make no exceptions and buyer will have to arrange local pick-up.
International Shipping rates, insurance:
We cannot be held responsible for items lost, stolen or damaged during transit. Such problems can only be solved with the carrier. In case of problem, we will always make our best to obtain the best refund whenever possible. Please understand that we cannot be responsible if no refund or if only a partial refund can be obtained: we are not the carrier and do not perform the shipment.
We will ship as you like:
- Priority Air-Mail: this is called Colissimo International and usually ships in around 10 days, but can take more time if kept by customs and other parties. Insurance (optional) is strongly recommended and available for up to 1500 euros for an extra cost of 1 euro for each 150 euros insured. We are not responsible of uninsured items. We will refund whatever the posts accept to refund and cannot be held responsible if no refund can be obtained. All shipping rates can be obtained from the official www.coliposte.net site.
- Economy AirMail: this is called International Economique. This usually ships within 3 weeks, but cannot be insured and has no tracking, and usually does not save much money compared to a Priority Air-Mail shipping. All shipping rates can be obtained from the official www.coliposte.net site.
- Another preferred carrier like UPS, FedEx or DHL upon request, but this will cost much more than the above Post Office rates.
Positive feedback will always be given to successfull transactions.
We are professionals and therefore do not reciprocate neutral or negative feedback unless it is abusive.
We will always post our feedback AFTER having recieved yours. We apologize for doing this but too many buyers forget to post theirs even if we post ours first.
In case of neutral or negative feedback left by mistake (never happened so far):
Do not reciprocate it. We will gladly withdraw it and will always add a follow-up with a positive comment indicating and appologizing for our mistake. So far, this never happened.
