Description

Original 1969 stereo pressing of Harlem Blues by Phineas Newborn Jr. on Contemporary Records (S7634). A landmark piano trio album featuring the legendary rhythm section of Ray Brown on bass and Elvin Jones on drums.


Recorded in Los Angeles, this session captures Newborn at his most powerful and expressive, blending blues, swing, and virtuosic technique with deep feeling. Widely regarded as one of his finest late-career recordings.


Vinyl is in near mint condition with strong gloss and only light, superficial marks consistent with careful handling. Jacket shows normal age-related wear including edge and corner wear with staining on the reverse, but remains solid and fully intact.


A must-have title for serious jazz collectors and fans of piano trio recordings.


Record will ship outside the jacket in a protective sleeve.
