Here’s an original Italian pressing of Piero Umiliani’s, “CONTINENTE NERO”, on his own label OMICRON. This album begins with a stunning jazz track titled “RIVOLUZIONARI”, and initially sounds like a standard Jazz tune, but the track gradually dissolves momentarily into a hybrid electronic jazz groove, and then regains it’s standard jazz form. Piero adheres to his experimental prowess throughout most of the other songs, and keeps his compositions fresh and engaging.
