This handsome LP – a superb collector’s copy – from Melodiya (C10-08153-4, Russian pressing, blue/silver label, stereo) features violinst Victor Pikaizen and pianist Alexei Nasedkin’s unsurpassed traversal of Carl Maria von Weber’s Six Sonatas for Violin and Piano, recorded in Moscow circa 1970.

Violin Sonata No. 2 in G Major
Violin Sonata No. 3 in D minor
Violin Sonata No. 4 in E-flat Major
Violin Sonata No. 5 in A Major
Violin Sonata No. 6 in C Major
There are fine liner notes on the reverse side of the jacket by Y. Kulova, printed in Russian and English. The striking cover portrait of the composer is uncredited.
CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the jacket is near-MINT. Really, there are no flaws to speak of and the jacket appears virtually as new. There are no bends, seamsplits, or owners' markings, and the album remains solid, bright, glossy, and highly attractive – overall, a truly fine collector's copy.
The condition of the LP is near-MINT and playback is superb – overall, a truly fine collector's copy.

This LP has been carefully cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine. All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve.
