Selling-up my large record collection.
1973 third album from the Fairies, now with Larry Wallis at the helm. First-issue copy, record not in pristine condition, but plays very well.
Pictures are my own photos of the items for sale. Photos are part of the description, have a good look.
Cover - single cover, nicely laminated front-and-back. Condition is good - light wear to the surface of the lamination in parts, bumps / wear on corners. Some scallop creases, and a crease near the spine, on the back. There is a 3x1 card insert with pictures of the three band members, in very good condition - just a crease from an old bend. First appearance of the flying pigs, which became a logo / trademark for the band.
Record - briefly, both sides have some light scratches plus lots of surface wear and marks. Doesn't look great, but when I got it, I played it and left myself a note, as to what I heard - "Record plays well, muddy-sounding production".  As I've upgraded my replay equipment since I got the record, I thought I'd re-listen to a side of it. Playing it loud on good equipment digs-out what's in there - not a sparkling production, but probably sounds much like what they would have sounded like live through a good PA. A clean-sounding production wouldn't be true to the dirty-sounding band that the Fairies were! My little play-test was on side two, which showed NO ill-effects from the various damages, plays excellently well, with no clicks or crackling.
So, checking this out, showed it to be better than I had thought - and a good copy of this has a value.
When I'm checking for damage on records, I look at them carefully with my reading glasses on, in good daylight. This method detects any bits of damage that will affect what you hear when listening to it - and lots that are not audible. Using a spotlight or direct sunlight shows more surfacey marks sometimes, but I don't do that - records are for listening to, not trying to see your face in.
Postage at cost within UK - £3.10 plus 50p for a proper record mailer with two stiffener sheets of cardboard (or whatever's appropriate). Happy to do combined postage wherever practical. I'll charge you what it costs me - so anything up to six (or so) LPs would still be the same charge, £3.60.
I'm happy to send this overseas. See below for details, if bidding from outside UK - YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS STUFF. Dispatch will usually be "next day". Collection in person is welcome.
I don't mail things personally, to countries outside the UK - ( I mean it, don't ask) - but I am happy to use E-Bay UK's Global Shipping Program, for sending things abroad. Under this scheme, I send the parcel to an e-bay depot in UK, and they forward it to the overseas buyer. They have a tracked courier service, for the journey from their UK depot, to the buyer. This means that I can ONLY accept payments through e-bay (Pay Now button), and I can't send invoices. 
E-Bay UK tells me, they do NOT do combined postage in the Global Shipping Programme. Charges to the customer for delivery and customs charges are whatever you're told they are - if you don't want to pay the postal / courier charges individually for the items, then do not bid. HOWEVER, if you win several items, and pay for them all in the same payment, their system may well spot this and do combined postage. If this happens, pay what you're told, and I will refund the excess postage paid to me - if you buy three LPs, I would be getting three lots of £3.50, but I can send all in one parcel, so I only need one lot of £3.50, usually. The exception is, if the items you buy weigh more than 2 kilos altogether, I need to make two parcels - there is a special cheap postage rate in UK, for parcels under 2 kilos.  Overseas customers - please DON'T request an invoice - I can't make one, and it screws-up the e-bay system.
International buyers should be able to see a postage cost to their country, you may have to input your location, if your country is included in the scheme. If your country is not mentioned, please do not bid. International postage to the following countries will be shown (this is the latest list that I've seen - lotta countries!) I don't send to China (because I prefer not to), and I also don't send to Japan, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru, as importation of vinyl records is not permitted in their customs regulations.
