Description
The image is of the rare (1st pressing only) PINK FAIRIES LP NEVER NEVER LAND. Polydor 2383 045. The cover is completely different in design from the later pressings. the main sleeve folds out to a Pink Poster as can be seen from the image. This was housed in a clear plastic sleeve decorated with part of the artwork and gives a 3D effect in appearance. The record is housed in a plain inner sleeve. So what about the condition. Okay. The outer plastic sleeve has a split three inches along the seam. Not unrepairable I'm sure and not a standout problem by any means. The Poster which basically folds in half to make the main part of the sleeve has some creasing but not too much. being thinner card than the normal sleeve material it had a tendency to get a little bent or creased but again nothing spectacular. There is some evidence of ware to what is effectively the spine but not that bad.The vinyl has quite a few surface scratches and from memory played fine the last time I listened to it. A good cleaning agent does wonders for vinyl and really brings out the best in ageing records. The labels are fine but spindle marks are there. I bought records to play not to jerk off over but I did look after them pretty well so it's not all doom and gloom . As a Fairies fan you probably know how great an item this is so it is the faults that you really need to know about and thats why Ive concentrated on them a bit.
