They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute.

Pink Floyd 1967 LP Piper at the Gates of Dawn Stereo FIRST PRESSING, Tower VG++!

My VG++ grading falls between VG+, which has only a few light soft marks and scratches, and my EX grade, which means that the vinyl looks brand new, with a flaw or two. 

This copy deserves better than a VG+ grade, but I wouldn’t, in good conscience, say that it’s Excellent.  It has just a few very light, very soft lines only, none that can be felt with the fingertip.  One is pretty long, but is very light.  See photo. 

Not a NM copy, but man is this a very nice piece of vinyl!

Vinyl--- VG++/VG++.  90% original shine on both sides.

Plates--- A1/B2.  Definitely first-day issued plates.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

Cover--- VG+.  Light yellowing to both the front and back covers.  Top seam has a 3-inch split near the spine.  Spine is weak, but isn’t split.

**So don’t store the LP in the cover!**

Labels--- EX/NM.  Side 1 label has a couple of very short, extremely light spindle marks.  Apart from that, both labels look 1967-newly printed, full gloss.

Inner Sleeve--- VG.  Generic white inner sleeve with no die-cut hole for the labels to show is present.  Sleeve has yellowed a little.  Has a moderate amount of wrinkles and finger divots, but NO SPLIT SEAMS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original inner sleeve en route.

This copy will likely be your keeper.  It would also make a stunner Christmas gift this year if you’re shopping for your Pink Floyd/rare vinyl collector!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
