Description
After selling most of my LP collection, I am now selling a few that I have left which are mostly Beatles related.
All my LPs will have been played at least once and some of them several times. They have however been properly looked after and stored over the years and I am only listing LPs which play to a high quality. Each LP has been played in full prior to listing so my assessment is of the whole record, not just a few samples. My assessments of the quality of the vinyl, sound reproduction and sleeve are based on the widely accepted Record Collector definitions.
This copy of Pink Floyd's 1969 stereo LP of the soundtrack to the film "More" is a UK pressing on the Columbia label - catalogue number SCX 6346, matrix numbers YAX 3868-1G, YAX 3869-1G. This is a first pressing with the green tinted rear sleeve as opposed to the black tinted one of later releases. The album is in very good condition and all the tracks play well with just a few pops. The vinyl has some superficial surface marks, certainly nothing out of the ordinary for an LP of this age and nothing which seems to affect the quality of playback. However, when I first played this again after many years there was a lot of surface crackle. I have cleaned the LP three times and reduced this considerably, but it is still audible in places, mostly in the quieter tracks or between tracks. A buyer who can give it a deeper clean than I can would probably be able to reduce this even more. The sleeve is in very good to excellent condition with very little scuffing, some very minor creasing on the front and a slight lifting of the bottom flap on the rear. The lettering on the spine is clear. It comes with its original inner sleeve advertising other EMI records. This is just starting to split at the bottom so to protect it from further damage in transit I will put the LP in a new inner sleeve.
