Description

PLEASE REVIEW ALL PHOTOS AND READ THE ENTIRE ITEM DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY!!

THIS IS A REALLY NICE COMPLETE COPY WITH 2 STICKERS and 2 POSTERS! THIS IS ONE OF THE NICER COMPLETE COPIES OF A TRUE FIRST PRESSING THAT I HAVE SEEN.

The cover, gatefold & LP are in Very Good shape, Stickers & Posters are in Very Good shape! The whole package is in great shape!
I RECENTLY PLAYED THIS LP AND IT SOUNDS AWESOME, but you will hear minor surface noise typical with a Very Good grading (and typical with a Pink Floyd LP).

Up for sale is one (1) Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon, THIS IS A TRUE FIRST PRESSING WITH INTERPAK PATS. PENDING in the lower right corner of the gatefold. First pressing from 1973 on Harvet Records (#SMAS-11163). NO BARCODE. Has WLY etched in the deadwax on Side 2 signaling a high quality mastering by Wally Traugott.

Only REAL first pressings have INTERPAK Pats. PENDING inside the gatefold. This text was removed in later pressings.

MUST ALSO HAVE: Text around bottom edge of label starts at 8 o'clock and says: Mfd. by Capitol Records, Inc., a subsidiary of Capitol Industries, Inc., U.S.A. - ® Capitol Marca Reg - U.S. Pat. No. 2,631,859

You must have both of these attributes to have a true first pressing.

The Vinyl is in Very Good condition with some visual surface marks that may cause surface noise typical with a Very Good grading. Even with a Very Good grading there is going to be a certain amount of surface noise. More noticible during the quiet parts. Most notably on Side 1 there is a noticeable surface mark that is unfeelable and does not adversely affect play.

Nice clean labels with minor spindle marks.

The gatefold cover is in Very Good condition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to minor corner dings, minor scrapes, minor ring wear and minor fading. NO SPLIT SEAMS.

This cover typically does not age well, but this one is in Very Good shape.

DEAD WAX INFO:

Matrix / Runout Side A Etched: SMAS 1 11163 F17² #2

Matrix / Runout Side B Etched: SMAS 2 11163 F2² #2 Wly

The posters are in Very Good condition with very minor wear typical with age. Never displayed and were stored in the record sleeve lo these many years.

Pyramid Poster(with SMAS-11163-1 written in the lower right corner):

Band Poster(with SMAS-11163-2 written in the lower right corner): There is what I believe to be a manufacturers defect in the upper left corner panel with Richard Wright's picture, there is a perfectly straight surface mark / line or crease that goes straight across the panel. It is unfeelable and is somewhat difficult to notice. It does not affect any other panels

The stickers are in Very Good condition with very minor wear typical with age. Never displayed and were stored in the record sleeve lo these many years.

THESE ARE TRUE FIRST ISSUE STICKERS with "fasson CRACK `N PEEL" on the back.

Yellow & Blue Sticker(with SMAS-11163-1 written in the lower right corner):

Blue & Brown Sticker(with SMAS-11163-2 written in the lower right corner):

I obtained this LP in the 1970's. It was gently played back in the day(I had other copies that I played, this one got the Kid Gloves Treatment). I haven't played this LP in many, many years. It has been in storage ever since.

I am thinning out my vinyl collection. This is the actual item you will receive. See the photos and judge for yourself.
