Pink Floyd - A Nice Pair
I am pleased to offer for sale this exceptional example of Pink Floyd's first compilation album: A Nice Pair.
1973 saw Pink Floyd make world wide acclaim following the release of their seminal album; Dark Side of the Moon. The success of the album introduced the band to new audiences whom weren't aware of the psychedelic back catalogue of the Barrett days. The label therefore made the decision to rerelease the bands first two albums on a two disc double LP for Christmas 1973.
As is shown below, the album features all the signs of a true UK first pressing. It is difficult to find 50 year old records in such fantastic condition - here is a great chance to get your final upgrade copy!

The matrix numbers inform us that the vinyl is a UK first pressing. The mother & stamper codes suggest that the record was produced relatively early in the production run. Consequently, the audio reproduction is fantastic! Take a listen yourself below!
The labels are the first variant.
The sleeve is the first variant which features the Dr. Phang dentists surgery in the top right hand corner of the front side. This was later changed due to a complaint by Dr. Phang.
Completing the album are the original card picture inner sleeves, each with a notch to the top edge and with three die-cut corners.

Vinyl: EXCELLENT +
Labels: MINT -
The labels are bright, clean and without writing. Only one or two very light spindle marks are visible. Side 4 has a very small blemish.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
The record retains superb deep-gloss playing surfaces. In bright daylight there no visible surface marks that can be seen to any side. Under the glare of a halogen desk lamp wispy light paper hairline marks can be seen alongside an iridescent rainbow sheen. Very nice indeed. Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +

As can be heard in the audio clips, the vinyls sound simply fantastic. They have clearly been played cautiously on good quality equipment. All lead-ins are quiet. There is great channel separation, superb clarity and exceptional dynamism. A true final upgrade copy.
Sleeve: EXCELLENT +
This shop-new sleeve looks superb! All four sides are clean and retain bright vibrant colours. The spine and all 6 edges are without wear. There is a short, very subtle crease to the bottom left hand corner of the front side which stops it grading NM. The corners are sharp. Very difficult to find one in better condition than this.
Inner Sleeves: MINT -
The original inner sleeves look great. There is not a lot more to be said.
Additional Details:
Before the audio test was performed the vinyl was cleaned first by an Okki Nokki vacuum cleaner (using L'art du Son cleaning solution) and then an Audio Desk ultrasonic cleaner.
After cleaning, the vinyl is housed inside a brand new mobile fidelity anti-static inner sleeve.
The vinyl will be packaged outside of the sleeve, both of which are stored inside an archival quality polypropylene outer sleeve.
The record will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
