Description
Artist Pink Floyd Title A Saucerful Of Secrets Format Vinyl LP Catalogue Number Columbia SX 6258 Year 1968 Country United Kingdom Disc condition There are some feint surface scratches on side 1 but nothing deep enough to compromise the playing. Side 2 is in slightly poorer condition with some more noticeable surface scratches. Again the disc plays fine though. The labels on both sides have a darker circular mark, but I can't comment on the reason for that (possibly it's meant to be like that? or possibly a sticker was once attached before my ownership). Sleeve condition The front of the sleeve is in very good condition considering the age of the album being over 40 years old now. There is some minor creasing and delamination of the shiny coating but none of the coating has actually cracked or peeled off. Some very feint wear to the corners and the centres of the edges but nothing major. The rear is also in good condition but has a rubber stamp mark "Music Dept. Thames Television" (see below for explanation). The inner paper sleeve is not the original one (I don't know if there was an original one).Other details
This is the original pressing of this album from 1968 which was released in mono and in stereo before mono was abandoned in the late 60's. This item is a mono pressing of this album and is now an extremely rare collectible item.
I bought this item from UK television station Thames TV which closed down in 1992 and auctioned off their record library shortly afterwards. This is why it has the rubber stamp mark on the rear of the sleeve, but otherwise it seems to have been lightly used.

About Me
I am not a trader, I am a private collector selling off my personal record collection mostly acquired in the 1990s. Due to emigration next year I need to start disposing of it, and also some other unwanted items from around the house. View my other items for sale by clicking this link.
Important: Many of my items have not been played for a very long time (if ever at all). I have visually checked and graded all items before listing them on eBay and I have been careful about storing them properly (in a smoke free, pet free and child free home), but you are advised to check their playability and report any problems within 7 days of receiving the item. Where an item has a generic case (such as a CD jewel box) then this is not included in the grading unless otherwise stated. If you disagree with my grading please contact me before leaving any feedback and we can try to find a resolution to the problem.
Payment
I can accept the following payment methods:
- PayPal (though only because eBay say I have to accept it...)
- Bank transfer (UK bank in sterling or US bank in dollars)
- Personal cheque (drawn from UK bank in sterling only)
- Cash in UK sterling, euro or US dollars. I travel a lot on business to eastern Asia so may also consider other currencies such as HKD, CNY, KRW, TWD but ask me first for the latest status.
- Cash only if collecting in person, thank you. Same choice of currencies.
To avoid problems I have to wait until payment is cleared before dispatching items. I might refuse any payment methods not listed above due to risk of fraud.
Postage and Packaging
I will use record mailers and other packaging materials which are not cheap if you want decent quality ones. Please do not look at the cost of the stamp and assume I'm making a profit. I don't aim to. I will obtain a proof of postage for everything I post.
Multiple purchases: I am happy to try to save you postage and packaging charges but whether this is possible will depend on many factors: the number and weight of the items, and also their value - it might be cheaper to keep purchases as separate shipments rather than pay for extra insurance, and for international shipments it is good to keep the values low for customs reasons. I will happily provide a quote if you ask me to, but I repeat I don't aim to make a profit on P&P. I will calculate any postage discounts manually after the auctions close so please confirm the final total with me before paying. I cannot apply any discounts after the payment is made.
If paying by PayPal I will only ship to confirmed addresses (in countries where available), and please note that most standard UK postal services such as second class and first class (including Recorded) and Airmail Small Packets etc. only insure up to UK£41.00 so if the value exceeds this I strongly recommend you consider upgrading to Special Delivery (for UK), Airsure (for international) or other tracked delivery service. If your required shipping option is not listed in the auction details please ask me as I can price it up on request.
For international buyers, any import duties or taxes are out of my control and therefore must be the responsibility of the buyer.
