Description
Columbia 1968. A later Columbia reissue, mustard/brown labels, titles in black. Catalog#: SCX 6258. Matrix#: YAX 3633 / 4. Floyd in transition, with minimal but classic contributions from departing Syd Barrett, and arrival of Dave Gilmour. Generally still one of their finest albums, esp if – like me – you lost interest after Dark Side of the Moon.
Sleeve: Excellent. A few inexplicable tiny dents & smears dotted across bottom right of back cover, bit of wear and tear along spine, otherwise approaching immaculate.
Vinyl: visually very good, just one or two surface smears and a small superficial scratch (inaudible) on small section of side 1 track 1. This was the replacement copy I bought in early 70s after pretty much wearing out the first issue copy (which, of course, I wish I still had to put on eBay now!) so never got played to same extent. Plays well, side 1 with only occasional surface noise, side 2 has some background crackle, noticeable mainly on quieter parts.
