Earliest ever pressing with G1 / G1 Mothers!!!

G1 is the earliest ever mother stampers and these are usually in batches of 300. Meaning this is one of the very first pressed from the master. This means much thicker vinyl and far superior audio quality compared to the later mothers.

Just think how many of the G1 / G1 still exist today, many are lost, destroyed and that original number of 300 pressed for G1 / G1 is way less than 300 in 2015.

What makes this even more special is this copy has incorrectly spelt GILMORE on the label and cover it should read GILMOUR!!!! So this means the cover is a genuine 100% original 1st pressing. Also on the label Let there be more light is incorrectly spelt as “Let there me more light” again proving this is a genuine first pressing.

Release Information: First mono issue on a black Columbia label with a blue Columbia trademark logo. Gilmour is written as "GILMORE" on both the record label and cover. Some early labels were printed with the misspelling "Let There Me More Light.”

Many of these LP’s were taken to wild parties and are totally trashed this copy is not.

Vinyl Grading:

Under intense halogen lighting the LP shows lots light sleeve removal marks and a few scuffing marks with two slightly heavier marks on either side.

The heavier marks on not felt with the finger nail. Both sides of the LP retains its natural mirror black shine.

Both labels have spindle marks and have no rips, stickers or ink graffiti.

This has been properly graded and not hyped up in any way.

Sleeve:

Slight shelf ware to corners and bottom edge. Not seam splits or damage to the flip backs. There is light creasing to the front. The spine is clean and clear of dents. Light feathering to the opening edge. There is a purple ink stain to the rear cover on the right hand side see photograph.

EMI reddish brown EMI company inner is in great condition with no splits.
