Pink Floyd - A Saucerful of Secrets Stereo EX/EX *UK First Press* 12” Vinyl LP
This is the Original 1968 UK First Pressing of Pink Floyd's fantastic second studio album - A Saucerful of Secrets. This very rare LP has the blue/black Columbia labels and features the misspelling of Gilmour's name, on both sides, to read 'Gilmore'. This first press has the very earliest matrices 1/1 and 'Sold in the UK' text on both labels. The vinyl itself is in superb condition. In short this is an absolutely amazing example of this rare stereo first press.

SLEEVE: EX This laminated, flipback, Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve is in excellent condition, it has been carefully stored, retaining the original shine and colour vibrancy. There are no seam splits or damage and the edges are very strong. There is some light record edge creasing and a few thin little creases from the edges on both front and back, most visible on the back cover in the top right corner measuring 1cm wide (see photos). This Record is an excellent example of this original First Press sleeve and a very rare find.
VINYL: EX Visual - This vinyl is very tidy. The labels are clean and with only minimal spindle wear (see photos). Under the inspection of a 1,055 lumen LED bulb; there are only a few light surface scratches, mainly confined to side one and not affecting the sound. There is a visible scratch between 'Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun' and Corporal Clegg (which does not affect the sound). A Saucerful of Secrets has a slightly deeper scratch (refer to 'Audio' below for details). Audio - This album plays beautifully without any jumps, skips or distortion. There are two audible crackles at the beginning of 'Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun' as the singing comes in. 'See-saw' has one loud crackle. 'Jugband Blues' has one loud crackle at the very end of the track. 'A Saucerful of Secrets' plays one loud crackle followed by seventeen audible rhythmic background crackles progressively getting quieter. The other tracks play excellently, with some occasional light background noise only noticeable in the quietest parts or between tracks.

We mail everything using the BEST QUALITY (music industry standard) packaging materials - sturdy cardboard record mailers with two added cardboard stiffeners for 12" LP's and 7" singles. We always remove the vinyl from the album cover and the original/ collectable inner sleeves (where present) to prevent damage to these during transit. During this time the record will be protected in a plastic anti-static inner sleeve which doubles up as a protective album cover once it has arrived!
We mail everything using the eBay Shutl 3-5 day TRACKED courier delivery service (via My Hermes) which includes standard compensation of up to £25. Extra insurance can be purchased for items over £25 - Please contact us for a quote before your purchase or within 2 hours of a sale being completed if you do require any extra cover as we dispatch most items the same day.

GRADING SYSTEM
Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
