 Extras?: Rare original first pressing UK mono LP, the mono mix is different from the stereo mix and (in my opinion) is vastly superior. Here's the detailed info of THE ACTUAL ITEM FOR SALE:

Release Information: First mono issue on a black Columbia label with a blue Columbia trademark logo. Gilmour is written as "GILMORE" on both the record label and cover. 

Description:
Front Cover: Hipgnosis cover. Laminated flipback cover.
Back Cover: At top foldover of back cover it says "File under POPULAR : Pop Groups." At bottom foldover of back cover it says "6807 TPS Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending SX6258 / SCX6258"

Plain inner sleeve

Labels: Black Columbia label with silver text, and a blue "Columbia Records Magic Notes Trademark" at the top, and a blue "Columbia" in the center. Underneath the blue "Columbia" it says "Sold in U.K. subject to resale price conditions. See price lists." 

Text around the bottom edge of the label starts at 10 o'clock and says:

The Gramophone Co., Ltd. All rights of the manufacturer and of the owner of the recorded work reserved. Unauthorised public performance, broadcasting, and copying of this record prohibited.

Condition

Sleeve - A few small creases in the laminate on the front but nothing major - everything else is great. 

Record - This is NOT a mint condition copy (and would beware of anybody claiming that they have one, unless it had never been played!) so, if that's what you want then i'm afraid you're out of luck here! There are scuffs on both sides and light scratching. There is the occasional crackle (to be expected in a record nearly 45 years old) and this should be improved by a good deep clean. There are a couple of clicks between tracks 1 & 2 on side 1 and during 'Jugband blues'. Any surface noise is mainly audible between tracks and on the very quietest of passages. I have listened to this all the way through and my listening pleasure was not disrupted - it still sounds great. 

I grade the vinyl & sleeves according to the Record Collector grading guide, the industry standard, see below for detailed descriptions of gradings.

"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler."

As well as the above grades, Near Mint is often used as well; this is really for a record that appears new but is known to have been played because the label has light spindle marks or because it has come from a previous owner and is assumed to have been played by them. For records which appear to fall between the accepted grades, + and - are also often added to the grading.

In addition to the basic grading, any individual faults should be noted separately such as if an otherwise Excellent cover has a name written on it, or a 7" single is missing its original centre etc.

We visually check records and then test play random songs (i do not have the time to fully play grade them) and also test play any marks to check if they affect the sound quality. I will playgrade fully any records on request from people who have already placed a bid.
