Pink Floyd A Saucerful of Secrets/1968/Good/ Misspelled Gilmore/ST5131


This was the first stereo version that was pressed by Tower, and they misspelled David Gilmour's name, spelling it Gilmore, on the back of the album as well as on the label. This mistake was corrected on later pressings. This was the album that saw the last of Syd Barrett as a member of Pink Floyd, and it also had the last song the band did that was written by Syd--Jugband Blues. Nick Mason, the drummer and the only member of the band who was with it from the very beginning to the end, stated in a video documentary that I saw that A Saucerful of Secrets was his favorite Pink Floyd album. In the same documentary, David Gilmour or Richard Wright, I can't remember which, said that Wish You Were Here was their favorite, and that he still listens to it even after all these years. The record played very well in 1992 when I switched over to CD's. The album jacket shows a little wear and tear and some soiling, but, surprisingly, not that much for a 52-year-old. If you find anything I've stated about the condition of the album is untrue, you can return it for a full refund.
