Description

An original 1st press of Animals on the UK Harvest label from 1977. Matrix A2/B2 - very 1st press nothing exists earlier than this. Stampers 1-GDB/3-MG. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original inner sleeve with rounded corners and slots at the opening. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a few pf those very superficial marks - nothing remotely troublesome.  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. And boy can you hear it! You really need a clean copy to do proper justice to some of these Floyd albums. Interference is minimal and it plays very very clean. All we could detect was a couple of light crackles in the odd isolated moments - i.e. very little at all. You would struggle going any better than this copy. It was a real pleasure to audition.
Cover (Ex) A difficult one to find in top condition due to the fact that the surface was so prone to wear. This example is in fine form with only some light handling wear around the extremities- certainly nothing overtly obvious. Colours front and back are still vivid and bold - no signs of ageing. the interior is in great shape too - just light handling wear. Edge wear is very nice and light and even the spine is looking good - text still mostly legible. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity and lies totally flat. A great specimen. 
Inner (Ex-) A couple of 1 inch edge splits. Otherwise aok.
