Description
An exceptional copy of Pink Floyd's landmark 1977 concept album "Animals," featuring a visually pristine, early-batch vinyl disc pressed in Great Britain.
ITEM DETAILS & IDENTIFIERS:
• Artist: Pink Floyd
• Album Title: Animals (1977)
• Country of Manufacture: Great Britain (EMI/Harvest Records)
• Catalog Number: SHVL 815
• Matrix / Runout (Side 1): SHVL 815 A - 2U
• Matrix / Runout (Side 2): SHVL 815 B - 2U
CONDITION ASSESSMENT:
• Vinyl Disc: EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT (EX/NM). The playing surface retains a beautiful, deep mirror gloss with no deep scratches or severe scuffs. Crucially, the center labels are pristine with zero spindle trails or wear lines around the center hole, indicating this record has been exceptionally well-preserved and barely played.
• Gatefold Sleeve: VERY GOOD MINUS (VG-). The original non-laminated matte jacket shows typical age-related shelf wear, rubbing, and creasing along the edges and corners. The spine shows friction wear but the text remains readable.
• Inner Sleeve: Original custom rounded cardboard lyric inner sleeve is included. It is fully legible but shows a standard split along the bottom seam where the heavy vinyl pushed through over time.
A phenomenal audio upgrade copy for an audiophile looking for a true 1977 British first-cut sonic presentation. Will be safely packaged and shipped securely.
