ARNOLD LAYNE / CANDY AND A CURRANT BUN
Columbia 7" vinyl single DB8156 ~ 1967 issue
A scarce copy of Pink Floyd's debut single, a double tour-de-force by original Floyd frontman and songwriter, Syd Barrett. Starting at a ridiculously low price with no reserve!
Note: please be sure you have read and noted the condition report below before bidding.
Condition - using Record Collector's grading chart, I've graded this single as G/VG. There is a constant but low-level surface noise on both sides. There are a few pops and crackles (especially at the start) on both sides, though not intrusive. The B-side has a couple of seconds where the sound is slightly distorted. The B-side probably has, overall, less wear. Both sides play perfectly and there is no damage that would suggest the record would jump on other equipment. There are a few light scratch marks around the centre hole of the disc. The paper sleeve is VG - it has some creases (especially to the top) and an edge ring but no tears or writing. I don't know if this Columbia sleeve (with an ad for "Miss Disc perfume products on the reverse) is the original one that the single was issued in (ie: correct era).
