Description
PINK FLOYD Atom Heart Mother (UK) Harvest EMI SHVL 781
This is a 1970 UK 1st EMI Harvest pressing of Pink Floyd's fifth studio album, "Atom Heart Mother". Their first attempt at serious music, I guess (at least the first side). Includes the locked "water-drip" groove Side 2 dead wax end.
Dead Wax Info: Side 1 has SHVL 781 - A2G and 1 GD all stamped into the dead wax area. Side 2 has SHVL 781-B3 and 1 GR all stamped into the dead wax area. Original 1970 UK Harvest EMI press.
Vinyl Visual Grade: VG with good gloss and a fair few light sleeve removal marks. Labels show moderate play, but on good equipment.Could use a cleaning to clear the dust.
Vinyl Play Grade: VG and much better in sections with GREAT fidelity and a little noise, especially in the quieter moments. A nice everyday listening copy, but not for the picky collector expecting a noiseless Near Mint listen. This is a VERY dynamic lp. Having said that, it is quite a good listen.
Cover Visual Grade: VG+ at best with very little ring or rubbing wear. Spine lettering is starting to obscure (at least the band name - but not the album title or catalogue number). Other seams showing minor wear. Corners also showing minor softening. All-in-all not too bad, really
Comes with original UK Harvest EMI branded inner sleeve which is in FANTASTIC condition. Vinyl is housed in a rice-plastic Audiophile style inner.
Hello all. My name is Jamie and I have been collecting records for 40+ years. It is time to trim down my unmanageable inventory. My tastes run all over the sonic map, so there should be something for almost everyone.
ALL records will have been visually inspected under BRIGHT incandescent light with extreme scrutiny.
ALL open records will have been play graded using a Thorens TD 165 turntable and Yamaha amplifier (JBL reference headphones). Treble set high so nothing will be hidden in my grades. My grading is as follows:
M or Mint - NOT USED as there is no such thing as perfection.
NM or Near Mint - No significant markings - sealed or RARELY played.
VG+ - Minimal marking - none of which significantly affects fidelity of lp.
VG - Minimal to modest marking which affects lp but not to the point of distraction.
G - Modest marking but still VERY listenable, depending on your ears.
I WILL NOT SELL ANY LP AT LESS THAN G UNLESS THERE IS SIGNIFICANT HISTORICAL VALUE ATTACHED TO THE LP.
ALL COVERS WILL HAVE DETAILED DESCRIPTIONS OF ALL FLAWS.
I USE PROPER RECORD MAILERS WITH STIFFENERS AND PADDED CORNERS. I HAVE BOUGHT TOO MANY RECORDS ON EBAY WITH DINGED CORNERS FROM INSUFFICIENT PACKAGING. BY PADDING THE CORNERS WITH FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP (WHICH I DO) , YOU CAN BE SURE OF RECEIVING AN LP WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE CORNERS.
SHIPPING FEES:
Shipping will be $10 U.S. for anywhere in the U.S. as long as the weight is under 500 grams after packaging.
ON PACKAGES OVER 500g, PLEASE WAIT FOR PROPER INVOICE. MOST LPS CAN BE SHIPPED AS UNDER 500 GRAMS.
Other countries (including Canada), please refer to the Canada Post rates which should be available on the ebay shipping details within the listing.
Returns accepted within 14 days (and with good reason).
I AM A REASONABLE PERSON. I WILL ONLY CHARGE FOR ACTUAL SHIPPING, AND NONE OF THE PACKAGING COSTS. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE BOUGHT ITEM, PLEASE WORK WITH ME TO FIND A SOLUTION THAT WILL BE TO YOUR LIKING. thanks for this
