Description

This is your chance to own an original 1970 UK pressing of Pink Floyd’s Atom Heart Mother  vinyl LP on the Harvest label, SHVL 781.  This early pressing has the Harvest label with no EMI box.  

Condition is Used. 

 

This record has been kept in a cool dry cupboard and un-played for well over 40 years having been purchased by me in the 1970s and then carried off to university and subsequent houses in a record box.

 

I have not played it, to check track quality, as I no longer have a respectable turntable fearing that one of today's modern USB record decks would act more like a plastic milling machine.  My comments below are therefore based on a close visual inspection only.  I have not cleaned the disc.

Disc:

Side 1:

The label is in near mint condition with crisp printing and only slight, minimal, rubbing to the central spindle hole with some light spindle rub marks.  

The disc surface is in good/excellent condition with some slight surface dust/dirt spots, no appreciable scratches visible and a few partial fingerprints.  The Matrix / Runout is stamped in three areas with 1 (sideways), SHVL 781 A-1G and 11 11 (sideways).

Side 2:

The label is in near mint condition with crisp printing and only slight, minimal, rubbing to the central spindle hole with some light spindle rub marks.  

The disc surface is in good/excellent condition with some slight surface dust/dirt spots, no appreciable scratches visible and a few partial fingerprints.  The Matrix / Runout is stamped in three areas with 2 (sideways), SHVL 781 B-1G and 0T (sideways).

The photographs hopefully give some idea of the condition of the vinyl disc.  

 

 

Sleeve:

The original sleeve is in good overall condition with only light creasing, no tears and only some small age related discolouration.

Cover:

The gatefold cover is in good overall condition; the cardboard is smooth and crisp with some minor handling creases and slight rubbing and wear to the spine, bottom edges and corners.  There are some minor surface dirt spots on the external printed surface and slight age related discolouration close to the spine. There is also a small approximately 8x5mm yellow sticker in the front to left corner, see photographs.  The inner gatefold print is in good toexcellent condition

 

Please inspect the photographs carefully.

 

For shipping I will place the record in plastic wrapping and pack in double stiff corrugated packaging.
