Description
Up for grabs here is a copy of Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon (1973) on Harvest Records (SMAS-11163). Included are the original gatefold cover and the two posters and two stickers that came with it upon release.
CONDITION NOTES 1) I can see one visible scratch on Side One, and two visible scratches on Side Two. Per a test listen, none of these affect playback. Based on this, I am rating the vinyl as VERY GOOD [VG]. 2) The cover only has some ring wear and light rubbing on the edges. I am rating it as GOOD PLUS [G+] - but do look at the pictures, for I think it may deserve better. 3) One poster seems to be in pristine condition, but the green poster showing the pyramids has been used to the extent that there are some push pin holes on the perimeter. (See photos to see a couple of them). Both poster pictures, however, are unwrinkled and bright. 4) The two stickers are in Near Mint condition. 5) I think the inner sleeve is original, but don't know for sure. It is in good condition with no rips or splits.
PRESSING NOTE As far as I have been able to track this down, I fully believe this is a 1973 Los Angeles pressing. As described in the notes below, the runout wax on side two is an exact match, including the asterisk that evidently marks it as coming from Los Angeles. The runout wax on side one, however is not an exact match, showing what I think is "C" or "G" followed by "76"(?). The rest matches (including the asterisk), but I wanted to be clear that having looked through all (U.S. + SMAS-1163 + vinyl) candidates from the list of 1291 versions (!), it is my conclusion that this is "an L.A. joint" ;-)
