Description Pink Floyd is releasing a special collectors' edition LP to commemorate the 50th anniversary of The Dark Side of the Moon. This new edition is a 2LP set, pressed on 180g heavyweight crystal clear vinyl and available in a limited edition. Each of the two LPs features audio on one side and a beautiful UV-printed image on the other. This is the first time Pink Floyd has used this pioneering UV printing process on vinyl. The images are printed with a high-end UV printer, and UV light is used to set the permanent ink on the non-audio side.
The new edition is mastered from the 2023 remaster and comes in a slipcase-enclosed gatefold sleeve, along with a bonus poster. The Dark Side of the Moon was released nearly 50 years ago in 1973, selling over 50 million copies worldwide and becoming one of the most iconic and influential albums of all time. The famous prism spectrum sleeve was designed by Hipgnosis' Storm Thorgerson and illustrated by George Hardie.
