NOTES:
To say this is a gorgeous record is an understatement. It’s one of the cleanest I’ve had pass through my hands, even by the standards of Japanese presses. Someone has loved this album and cared for it accordingly.
The Obi is crisp and white with no wrinkles I can find. The booklet has a tight spine and the corners are in great shape. The paper is glossy, however, so handling can make leave behind small wrinkles or impressions. I would call it the high side of VG. Tiny defects , but too many to say it’s VG+. The postcard looks brand new.
Wax: shiny and glossy with a very small bit of corner wear (see pics)
Jacket: only very minimal corner wear. Stil glossy. Check the pics.
If none of you guys buy it, I’ll be glad to keep this one.
BUT HOW DOES IT SOUND!?!
Fantastic, imo. The soundstage is right there, with clarity and separation. (As played on a Sumiko moonstone cart though jbl100s).
NO POPS, CLICKS, or SKIPS.
The only “crackle” I could find was in 1: the End of the piano outro in Great Gig in the Sky and 2. During 2 very sections in US & Them.
It’s a great listen and a beautiful record. now is your chance to grab this early press at a lower than discogs price. I’m going to run it through the Kyrmus again and put it in a new Mofi.
