Description

An original Feb 1997 EMI-100 [100 year EMI anniversary] copy. CENT A1\B1. Note that in 1997 vinyl was very much 'on its arse' - so whilst this is a major league title there are less copies knocking around than you might imagine. Pressed on 180 gram vinyl. The vinyl comes housed in a genuine high quality EMI100 cover. We have both posters and both stickers. We will ship in an anti-static poly-lined inner.
Vinyl (Ex) An incredibly lightly used lp with much of the original lustre still present. Struggling to make out any markings really - very nice! Please note there's very slight edge wobble only visible on side 2 measured at max amplitude of 1mm. I have tested the intro and there is ZERO affect on the audio even when concentrating very carefully. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. I'm used to grading the original pressings and I have to say for 1997 EMI seem to have done a pretty good job with the audio. I like it. It has to be said I have never played DSOTM with a quieter background. This example is ridiculously quiet. Closing in on perfect. If you're someone who likes to see if you can hear those faint mutterings that are on threshold of audibility - this might be the copy for ya. Plays clean as a whistle throughout and that is an absolute must for DSOTM. One solitary tick in MONEY. The audio is as damn good as the Lp looks.
Cover (Ex) In really neat condition and has clearly been tucked away carefully. Very nice heavy-card stock employed in manufacture - personally, I really like that. Front and rear are in excellent condition with minimal signs of handling. The EMI sticker is unpeeled and pristine. Interior is spot on. Very little signs of edge wear and firm sharp openings. The spine is in excellent order with no obvious signs of wear. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity.
Posters (Ex+) Pristine. Factory fresh. They almost stand up on their own! [see pics].
