Description
For sale is my unique copy of Pink Floyd’s seminal Dark Side of the Moon. It was produced and sold in Germany (so a quality copy), but has a Sweden label. I am lead to believe these were used due to a shortage of the traditional black labels with triangles on.
The album in 1973 cost 10 Deutschmarks (sticker is still on the front of the album). With an exchange rate of 5DM to the pound it make this album about £2 back then……
I also know that The Gramophone Company Ltd legal entity was renamed EMI Records Ltd. in 1973 and the Gramophone Company name, shown on the label, was removed.
I am afraid there are no posters or postcards, but you can get them on here. White inner sleeve is original and serialised.
The LP is not warped at all, it is VG+ (probably better, but I don’t want to over sell it). It plays well from start to finish on both sides with very hardly any surface wear, please see photos. Sleeve is VG+ for 51 years!
Grab a piece of history, I am slowly selling off my vinyl and this one needs a good home.
Good luck.
