DESCRIPTION: Pink Floyd LP- Dark Side of The Moon. Legendary 1st UK pressing with Solid Blue prism on labels. Stickered Blue/Black gatefold sleeve. The sleeve does not have the flap that folds under (I have had another 2 copies of this , one folded under, one didnt and the one that did not is stickered!!). The left hand side flap is partially glued. A2/B2 Matrix numbers. This has a black shaped inner but does not have the PATENT Nos print on. Saying that Ive also had a solid blue prism with a white shaped inner with near identical print on to the black ones. It has 2 stickers with "Crackback Patented" "Fasprint Permanent" and "Bend on Line" brown print. It has 2 posters with it. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Harvest SHVL 804 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1973 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER):VG+/VG. Vinyl is very clean with a nice sheen. It has a couple of faint light short hairmines that prevent me from grading EX visually. Played in its entirety today. It plays very near EX, clear, clean and loud with great seperation. It has a faint trickle of background sound in the run in to side 1 which prevents me from grading EX. This was my own best playing copy, and had been for many years, until a recent upgrade. Its been kept in a MFSL master sleeve since I got it. Stickered Blue/Black Cover is firm and square and has moderate edgewear, near heavy cornerwear and very near to moderate creasing/rubbing . Black inner is in nice shape, no splits and Poly still intact. It has "Barbara" printed in tiny letters on the front cover- see if you can spot it!! Solid Blue prism labels are clean, no writing or rips. Spindle holes are tight and with only light wear. One of the stickers has creasing the other is nice and smooth- neither have been used. One of the posters has some yellowing and the other some foxing. Both have pinholes but no writing or rips. All round no stickers or sticker tears. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
