Description
Year: 1973 This is Pink Floyds "The Dark Side of the Moon " recorded in Abbey Road studios from June 72 to Feb 73 , so much has been written about the sound quality and this is from the very early 1st presses released March 1973 bought new by me 1st week out in March 73.
This is a Genuine UK 1st pressing very hard to find now in good condition. I am not dealer this record is from my own private collection which I am selling off I have owned since new,
I have graded this item to the best of my abilty, please see photos for more detail.
Vinyl: Nr Ex - PUNCHY SOUND - GLEAMING SHEEN - NO SCRATCHES, OR Jumps & THE LIGHTEST OF STATIC HERE & THERE - SUPERB Matrix numbers: SHVL 804 A3 B4
there is also a MCH (STAMPED on side 1) GTA (stamped on side 2) Labels: Good+ - some signs of SPINDLE WEAR on side 1 (see pics) - all intact NO writing or GRAFFITI - (this has been played) this sounds amazing on any good deck.
Sleeve: Nr Ex - The colours and cover photos colours are bright and have a high glow on a Matt G and L sleeve , the sleeve is in good order and no tears or peeling (see pics) the inner liner is original and in good order VGC, no posters or stickers these are however more easy to find than the amazing sleeve we offer here..... this could be an Final UPGRADE sleeve for someone..
The sleeve is so good the corners are sharp as has always kept in a PVC gate-fold jacket if you want to upgrade your cover this could be the one!
Credit for Artwork ) by Hipgnosis and George Hardie is inside - SPINE INTACT & LEGIBLE - amazing almost no wear at corners.slightest ringwear on rear showing outline of vinyl only . stored upright in a container for many years. NO GRAFFITI & NO SPLITS - small historic price sticker adhesive mark inside slight but (see pics) Nr Ex.
OVERALL SUPERB 1ST UK PRESSING - GLEAMING VINYL & recorded in incredible stereo sound at Abbey Road studios in 1972 and early 73 this changed how the world listened, and how some albums were engineered for good, we listened on a Rega 3 and it blew us away! highs and lows and ......... the cover is so good one you could search for years for!
