Description

Pink Floyd – “Dark Side of the Moon”, 12” Vinyl LP -  MFSL 1-017  VG+

 (Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs 1-017)

I use ebay’s record grading standards to assess the condition of albums.

Cover:  Very Good Plus.  Corners are good, no creasing, but there is some light surface/ring wear visible front & back.  This record has a double-gatefold cover; interior is like new.  Also included are original materials that came with the album; see the photos.

Vinyl:  Very Good Plus or better.  No scratches, although there are a couple of very light scuffs; I don’t believe these will be audible. There are a few very light factory surface marks that I don’t believe will have any audible effect.  This record was always cleaned with Discwasher products before playing, and was played only on my high-end audiophile turntable (using a Fidelity Research Mk III cartridge, which I kept fanatically clean and balanced at all times!).  This album and should play like new.

The record label has a small orange sticker on it.  I used this to indicate records that I treated with Sound Guard Record Preservative.  This is a dry lubricant that one applied to the vinyl before its first play; it reduced or eliminated surface wear, and also served as an anti-static coating.  I used this on many albums and was very happy with the results.  (Googling "Sound Guard Record Preservative" returns lots of positive results.)

This record has been stored in a “Realistic” (Radio Shack) Anti-Static Record Protector sleeve, which has a “ziplock”-type closure.  This keeps out contaminants and helps keep the record pristine.

Satisfaction guaranteed!  I have closely examined this album and described it to the best of my ability.  However, I have not played it in many years; as I no longer have a turntable I cannot test-play it.  If you aren’t happy with your purchase, you may return it to me (buyer pays return postage) and I will refund the purchase price.

Shipping:  I ship via Media Mail, well-packed in a 13" x 13" x 4.5" box with padding; this large box provides excellent protection for your purchase.
