Description

The classic Pink Floyd album in the killer Mobile Fidelity audiophile half speed master version.  I purchased this used at some point in the mid 80's and have cared for it well ever since.   I suspect you already know how superb the MFSL version is so I'll get to the item specifics:
The cover is worn at the edges.  There is a tear in the bottom of the lp pocket that has been taped over, and there is an open tear at the top (see pictures).  The main front/back/inside gatefolds are in pretty good shape though and very clean.  This package contains the cardboard stiffening insert and rice paper sleeve (a price is written in the corner of the sleeve).  
The disc itself appears very clean.  I just played it through its entirety to verify the condition:  Side 1 opens very quietly into the heartbeat intro but there are a couple of  clicks and pops throughout (nothing unusual from the lp world).  The sound and music are so good this should not be a distraction, though my notes indicate a couple of clicks in "Great Gig"
side 2 opens with a few clicks in the intro to "Money" but they fall away to minimal levels once the music really gets going.  
Overall surface noise is present, but not distracting from the music.  This is a used record and will have some noise and a few ticks and pops...I have described honestly what I heard when spinning on a properly set up VPI Mk III and traced with a Sumiko Blue Point Special.  Since this came into my possession it has only been played on well set up gear and cared for well.  There are marks around the spindle (see close up picture) which are NOT signs of careless mounting of the lp but they are from the record clamp on my old Ariston turntable.
