Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon
I am pleased to offer for sale this exceptional copy of the Pink Floyd's eighth studio album, The Dark Side of The Moon.
As will be detailed below, the record is a true UK first pressing which features the highly prized 'solid blue triangle' Harvest labels that were only available with the short-lived first press.
This is a record that I love listening to and in my opinion the A2 / B2 pressing is by far THE premier pressing to listen to. If you haven't heard one, you should. Whilst the recording presented below is representative of the audio quality it by no means replaces the experience of listening to the record on your own system. Turn the lights off, turn the music up and enjoy!

The A2 / B2 matrix numbers identify the record as a true UK first pressing.
As mentioned above, the labels are the first variant as is evident from the solid blue triangle at the centre of both labels. Due to printing costs, this was changed for all subsequent variants.
The sleeve is the first variant 'midnight blue' tinged gatefold sleeve. As with all of the earliest copies it is without the "DSOTM" sticker to the front side. This was included on later copies after record shop owners complained that buyers didn't know which was "the new Pink Floyd" record.
The album is complete with all original inners; both posters, both stickers, and the original black, die-cut, 'patents pending' inner sleeve.

Vinyl: EXCELLENT (+)
Labels: EXCELLENT -
The labels are bright and clean. A handful of dull spindle trails as well as mild mildew blemishes are visible to both labels.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
The record maintains superb deep-gloss playing surfaces. In bright daylight a tiny (5mm) nail mark on side 1 and two short scuffs on side 2 are the only visible surface marks. None can be felt. Underneath the glare of a halogen desk lamp a number of hairline paper scuffs can be seen alongside a sparkling rainbow shine.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT / EXCELLENT +

As can be heard in the audio clips, the heavy-weight vinyl sounds superb. The fingernail mark mentioned above causes ~10 clicks on the introduction to "Breathe" on side 1. The remainder of the record is simply superb and if not for those clicks I would confidently grade as EX+ possibly NM. The bass is punchy, the vocals are crisp and clear and the instrumentation is well defined. I enjoyed listening to this one.
Please note, there is no skip on Money.
Sleeve: EXCELLENT -
The iconic sleeve looks fantastic. All four sides are clean. The cover art retains the original deep colours. As is often the case with non-laminated sleeves, there is mild rubbing to both the front and reverse. As can be seen in the pictures, these don't detract from the overall aesthetic of the cover. The corners are strong. The spine is without wear. The top and bottom edges show only minor storage wear. A great example.
Inners: EXCELLENT +
The original inner sleeve is in great condition. The polythene insert has come unstuck from one side. Both posters and pictures are in fantastic, as-new condition.
Additional Details:
Before the audio test, the vinyl was cleaned first by an Okki Nokki vacuum cleaner (using L'art du Son cleaning solution), then an Audio Desk ultrasonic cleaner is performed before a final rinse with distilled water.
After cleaning, the vinyl is housed inside a brand new mobile fidelity audiophile quality, anti-static inner sleeve.
The album will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
