Description
Please read very carefully!!!!!
I have laboured over whether or not to list this album. I am a 100% feedback ebayer so please read my description very carefuly as I will try to be as honest as I can as this album is imperfect but is very rare even in an imperfect condition.
This is an original first press Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon as evidenced by the solid blue triangle. The Matrixes are SHVL804 A-2 and SHVL804 B-2.
The disc has surface mark scratches but still has shine and there are some crackles on the run in to the hearbeat on 'Speak to Me' but once the music starts properly the sound is generally very good with a few intermittent crackles. The rest of side one plays well until the last minute of 'Great Gig in The Sky' which does unfortunately jump twice as the track is concluding'. Side two has two jumps on 'Money' then it plays well until ther are a further 2 to3 jumps on 'Brain Damage/Eclipse'. I have not tried to repair/clean etc but I do not think this will make much difference.
This copy will suit someone who wants this in their collection but either:-
a) Has a clean later copy to play or
b) Is prepared to make do until a better copy comes along.
The cover has a few marks on the bottom right and top seams but would still pass for very good. The inner balck sleeve is in very good condition. I try to be realistic and if this copy didn't jump, it would fetch circa £350. I have listed the LP because I feel it is still worth between say £50 and £100 as it stands but the market will decide. As I am typing this I am listening to 'Time' which sounds excellent, it is a great shame about the fact the whole album doesn't play like this.
There are no posters or stickers with this album but they are very easily obtainable and as far as I am aware there is nothing to distinguish those provided in a first press to later presses. It is the solid blue triangle that is the sought after item.
