Description
Clearing out some of my records to make room. Here is Pink Floyd’s 1973 lp, The Dark Side of the Moon, complete with the 2 stickers and 2 posters. This is the 2nd issue, with the Gramophone Co. Ltd. on the perimeter of the labels and World Copyrights Ltd under the outline prism. This is variant 2 of the 2nd issue, with matrix no’s SHVL 804 A-3; SHVL 804 B-3. Mothers and stampers are 1, LL and 1, MG. The black gatefold lp cover opens on both sides and has the blueish purple round hype sticker on the front. There is ring wear but is in quite nice condition overall. The vinyl has some light marks and scuffs but plays very nicely with no skips or jumps. On the side 1 label is what looks like a Roman numeral inscription, which I am not sure has either been written on by pen or the label came with it on. It’s hard to tell as it is very neat. The inner EMI sleeve is in very nice condition. The unused Fasson Crack-Back stickers are in great condition and have a unique feature. The colours appear to be out of sync slightly with the outlines on the design, especially the blue one. This must have been a printer error which makes this unique I must think as I have owned a few copies of Dark Side of the Moon over the years and have never come across this before. The posters are in lovely condition too with only a slight smallish crease on the blue pyramid one. Overall, this is in nice condition and is complete, which is quite rare for an early pressing of this album. Please note if bidding from overseas, I only post via the Global Shipping Programme. Record will be sent “signed for” in a proper strong record mailer, with stiffeners for added protection. Hence, the postage quoted is to cover this together with insurance. If you are not happy with this, then please do not bid as I have sold some albums on eBay in the past and have been out of pocket with the cost of post and packing plus insurance. Please see all photos as a guide. Any questions, please feel free to ask and I will reply as soon as I can. Thanks for looking.
