Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon VINYL LP A3/B3 UK early PRESS Complete
Second Issue.These copies were produced for a short time only, between first pressing and first repress, featuring earliest use of the new black Harvest "blue outline prism" label design.
These early transitional pressings, still have on labels the rim text starting as "The Gramophone Co. Ltd", and have been found with vinyl matrix A2/B2 or A3/B2 or A3/B3.
Gatefold cover of these copies come with two shade of color: very dark blue or black.
Many copies have been released with a sticker on front, although some do not have it.
The front cover has two different types of front openings:
- The right front opening of the gatefold cover is sealed with the two sides glued together.
- The right front opening of the gatefold cover is not sealed.
Rear top right corner has the text (IE 064 o 05249) between SHVL 804 and "stereo" centered (later copies have it left aligned).
Original set includes two A2-sized posters and 2 stickers.
Stickers have two different types of text on the back:
- "FasPrint Permanent" & "Crack Back Patented".
- "Permanent".

Matrices A3/B2 (apparently rarer than A3/B3) - NO 'MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN' ON LOWER RIM TEXT
CONDITION AND PLAYBACK:
Sleeve - has some light rubbing and storage wear around corners and edges. Solid with good spine and nice blue/black colour. Has hype sticker top right
Inner sleeve - is original black semi-matte paper with light blue printed text stating 2 patent numbers bottom left [1125555/1072844] and 'MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN' bottom right. It has some wear and creasing but remains intact and useable
Contains both original posters which are unused and excellent and 2x sticker sets , which are excellent "FasPrint Permanent" & "Crack Back Patented". examples - they have a little creasing and light staining (see photos)
Labels have no writing ; a few light scratches and a there are a few damp spots from past storage
There are plenty of visible marks on the vinyl, nothing deep, and some wear in the grooves; however it is probably in better condition than you would expect for its age !Nothing that causes any skips / sticks or really loud interference
The record plays through nicely. Inevitably there is some crackle heard in quiet sections and a few light pops.
side one; a few ticks on opening sections, and pops here and there , mainly light crackle in quiet bits
side two; , a bit of groovewear is noticeable (see photos), very good listen in the powerful bits thoughAn enjoyable listen all round, can be a bit of a mixed bag...the instrumental bit of Money and Time sound awesome!
