READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Pink Floyd LP Dark Side of the Moon in Shrink, Complete, Capitol Rainbow Label

Early 80’s reissue.

Vinyl--- NM/ EX.  Side 1 looks unplayed, glossy and blinding.  Side 2 has one light blemish, which could be a manufacturer’s defect.  Otherwise, same condition as Side 1.  Beautiful piece of vinyl.

Plates--- G79/ G70.  Hybrid pressing. Hand-etched delta symbol not even remotely looking like a rifle makes this a Winchester plate on side 1.  Hand-etched letter “O” makes this a Jacksonville plate, side 2.

Cover--- In shrink.  I don’t know where this copy was stored, but it is a little dusty under the shrinkwrap.  All four corners also have shelfwear.  Top left corner has a split in the shrinkwrap.  Pulling the shrink away from the cover, it does look like some of the ringwear has transferred to the cover, but not nearly as badly as the shrinkwrap absorbed.

Breathe Holes--- Two factory breathe holes are present on the front cover, below and to each side of the prism.

Labels--- Excellent.  Apart from some fingerprints, the labels look new.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Plastic rice paper sleeve.  Great condition.

Posters--- Both posters are present, and they each look brand new, as if they were never unfolded.  In keeping that tradition, I didn’t unfold either of them to take the photos.

Stickers--- The free sticker is a little curled, but otherwise in brand new condition as well.  There’s also the hype sticker on the front cover, which has some wear, not a lot.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
