Description

Stunning copy of this classic album, comes with original inner sleeves. This is the very first pressing and has the withdrawn mix that was changed on all future pressings. Very slight scuffs to the rounded corners, really very slight. The centre labels have no spindle marks, the vinyl is gorgeous with no scratches, it looks barely played, if played at all. Difficult to find a better copy that this, please ask if you have any questions of need any further details. The matrix is shown below:

First cut (end of runouts A-1 B-1) was quickly rejected because of too much high-end eq (see "Pink Floyd in Pompeii" film).
This copy has got this distortion.

Some copies were exported to France with a white round sticker on front cover (IMPORT england EMI PATHE MARCONI).

Two type of EMI inners are known for this album:
- plain white one with "PATENT Nos. 1,125,555," and "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" on bottom, with shaped corners and flipback.
- polyline (plastic bag inside) with advertising of other LPs, on bottom has "THE GREATEST RECORDING ORGANISATION IN THE WORLD" on one side and EMI's address on the other side, with shaped corners and flipback.
