Description

An original 1st issue of OBCs on the UK Harvest label. Matrix A2/B2. Stampers 2-AH/3-PM. Please note the labels exhibit the 'Gramophone' text around the perimeter found only on the 1st issue. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original rounded corner sleeve. OBCs was effectively a sound track for the aforementioned film. At the point of release Pink Floyd fell out with the film company and so you only find the association promo sticker on these very early copies. Also included is the original Harvest inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen very light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks and one that looks slightly more suspect - but turns out to be entirely innocuous. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Floyd needs a clean player every time otherwise it is going to leave you disappointed. Beautiful quality clean audio from this early low-mileage copy...even in the slow-build passages. Interference is pretty much non-existent. We couldn't detect more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments and then a couple of light ticks in the interlude between tracks 5&6 [does not affect actual audio]. 
Cover (Ex) In lovely condition and impressive condition considering these OBC covers are infamous for wear. Very clean front and back with no signs of wear or creasing. Edge wear is very light and the spine is mostly legible, but for a bit of wear against the word 'clouds'. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity and lies totally flat. An impressive example and one that would be difficult to better.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing at the extremities. No splits.
