First What I do know.....
You are bidding on a 1967 'The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn' LP by Pink Floyd. Cat is SX6157 and is a Mono recording. Sleeve states 'SX 6157' Also available on Stereo No. Scx6157. Top flap reads File Under POPULAR : Pop Groups, Bottom reads 6709 TPS. Printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London SX6157 / SCX6157.
Spine Of Sleeve reads 'The Pink Floyd'
Main back in grey and not white like later versions
Vinyl itself features white Columbia and EMI logos and silver title info (See Photos) Matrix No's : XAX 3420 -1 and XAX 3419 -2.
Sleeve is in VG+ condition, some brown staining on the back of the sleeve, if not for this would be excellent
Vinyl is in Ex condition, some light surface marks but plays flawlessly
What I am unsure about...
Not being a massive Pink Floyd fan I am unsure about a couple of things. I try and research a number of records I sell, but cant seem to find anything that matches this. The 1st press Mono versions that I have found (WHICH MATCH THESE MATRIX NUMBERS) carry the blue logos on the label, while this label is very similar to the first stereo press under the same cat no. The difference being that this label does not feature the word 'Stereo' above the cat no at about 3 o'clock on the label.
As I said, I am not a massive Pink Floyd collector so am unaware of most of these small differences. There may well be a simple answer to my problem, if so please let me know. Infact any info would be much appreciated.

On 08-Apr-09 at 17:51:32 BST, seller added the following information:PLEASE IGNORE THE SWX6157 CAT NO IN the item title. This is a mistake. Cat No is SX 6157. Thanks to everyone you has contacted me about the record. I would like to state that this is a 1967 record and mono. Not a later pressing. The sleeve is grey on the back, and both sleve and record state 1967. I STILL HAVE NOT FOUND A SIMILAR RECORD IN ALL MY RESEARCH AND IVE NOW BEEN ON EVERY WEBSITE I CAN THINK OF. IVE SEARCH POPSIKE.COM (DATABASE OF ALL RARE RECORDS EVER SOLD ON EBAY) AND COULD NOT FIND A SIMILAR ONE THAT HAS EVER BEEN SOLD.
