Description
This is the 2018 Record Store Day reissue of Piper At The Gates of Dawn by Pink Floyd in All Analog Mono as mastered by Bernie Grundman. This is the debut album of Pink Floyd, under the leadership of Syd Barrett who would leave the band shortly thereafter. This version of Pink Floyd is no less amazing, but they were definitely psychedelic powerhouses that would develop into something else as time went on and Gilmour and Waters took on a prominent role. The mono is considered by most the be the best version of this album, certainly with more punch and a rawness that is appropriate for Barrett's sophisticated casual approach. Incredible album and since clean originals are nearly impossible to find and crazy expensive, here's a great alternative.
