Description
Very rare The Pink Floyd Piper at the Gates of Dawn 1967 SX 6157/SCX 6157
Made and Printed in Great Britain
UK Mono 1st Pressing - denoted by the absence of the words "File under Popular Pop Groups" in the top right of the back cover which the 2nd pressing has.
The vinyl record itself is in overall VG+ to Excellent Condition. No warps or anything.
Side 1: I can see a few light marks and there is one minor scratch over POW R. TOC H. and a bit onto TAKE UP THY STETHOSCOPE AND WALK but a minor that does not affect it from playing through.
Side 2: Seems to show only very faint marks when held in the right light, otherwise looks great.
Both sides have "Phil Slade" written in faint black biro in the black part of the centre label both sides. It can only be seen in the right light though.
Side 1 - Matrix Stamps: XAX3419-2.
Side 2 - Matrix Stamps: XAX3420-1.
Record cover is in overall Very Good Condition:
The front is in extremely good condition with small wear to 3 of the corners, absolutely no tears. Please see photos. I don't think I have seen a cover of this record on eBay look as good as this one.
The back is in very good condition, only the slightest bit of dirt above the R and T of the title.
All flaps are sealed firmly.
There is a little dirt line running around the inside of the white edge as I have tried to show in the photos. This can probably be cleaned.
The spine of the outer sleeve is clear and reads The Pink Floyd clearly.
The Vinyl sleeve. In good condition. It has tears to the bottom middle and both sides in the middle. I guess this is due to movement of the vinyl. The black ink is bright and vibrant still. There is one small stain on the front and back. The sleeve has "Phil Slade" written in black biro at the top on both sides.
Due to the rarity of the record I will be sending it very safely in a cardboard box with bubble wrap over a standard brown cardboard sleeve which will have the record inside so it is as safe as possible during transit.
