Description
Pink Floyds first album. Mono, which I believe means it's quite rare. I have had this album from new. Still am a big fan of early Pink floyd. I actually got to see them several times. They played at The Opera House in Manchester and I still remember Waters tapping the microphone with echo for the beginning of "Several Species" Anyway..down to business. The album plays well. No jumps. There is a small click over several turns at the beginning of The Scarecrow. It's not that noticeable, and you do have to listen for it. Of course there is surface noise throughout..but the damage is all light and on the tops of the sound groove, so the damage to the surface doesn't mar the listening experience. The album has probably been played 20-30 times. There are no severe marks on it it. I have tried to photograph it to show its condition..to show that it is not in perfect condition. In the condition listing below, I would say album very good and sleeve good, although the sleeve has been defaced, i.e written on, but there are no spine splits. Some shots show it appearing almost perfect. It depends on how the light hits it. I have photographed it with reflected sunlight and this really does in some shots show up many micro scratches. I have another 13 pics off line if you want to see more.I am not sure whether this is the original inner sleeve. It might be if you study it..but I do not know for sure. I have written on the top left hand corner (lp1) on the reverse of outer sleeve and also inside the outer sleeve (145)..sorry ...I was young and stupid. The outer sleeve reverse shows lots of residue from fingers due to the fact that many people either studied it or used for its flat surface..!!!!!! ..I have been absolutely honest in describing its condition. After all there is no point in misleading anyone. I don't want hassle. I do want to sell if for its true value..no more and no less. Finally..to sum up..no it's not in a1 condition, but it plays fine, and now we know what an amazing album this is I am sure the next owner will look after it, now that we know its place in musical history.
MINT- THE RECORD ITSELF IS IN BRAND NEW CONDITION WITH NO SURFACE MARKS OR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY. RECORDS STATED AS UNPLAYED OR SEALED ARE MINT.
EXCELLENT - THE RECORD SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF HAVING BEEN PLAYED, BUT THERE IS VERY LITTLE LESSENING IN SOUND QUALITY.
V.GOOD - THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED MANY TIMES, BUT DISPLAYS NO MAJOR DETORIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY, DESPITE NOTICEABLE SURFACE MARKS AND THE OCCASIONAL LIGHT SCRATCH.
GOOD - THE RECORD HAS BEEN PLAYED SO MUCH THAT THE SOUND QUALITY HAS NOTICEABLY DETERIORATED, PERHAPS WITH SOME DISTORTION AND MILD SCRATCHES.
FAIR - THE RECORD IS STILL JUST PLAYABLE BUT HAS NOT BEEN CARED FOR PROPERLY AND DISPLAYS CONSIDERABLE SURFACE NOISE; IT MAY EVEN JUMP.
POOR - THE RECORD WILL NOT PLAY PROPERLY DUE TO SCRATCHES,BAD SURFACE NOISE, ETC.
BAD - THE RECORD IS UNPLAYABLE OR MIGHT EVEN BE BROKEN. IS ONLY OF USE AS A COLLECTION FILLER.
