Description
2 Pink Floyd Albums without covers: 'Piper at the Gates Of Dawn' 1967 Mono SX 6157 and 'A Saucerful of Secrets' Album 1968 Mono SX 6258 . Both Albums are supplied with sleeves only, although there is a cover for A Saucerful of Secrets it is poor condition as was used as wall poster, but will be given with the album. Both are Early Mono 1st Pressings with the following matrix's Piper at the gates of Dawn: Side 1 - XAX 3319-2 stamped 1G, side 2 - XAX 3320-1 stamped 1G; A Saucerful of Secrets: Side 1 - XAX 3633-1 stamped G, side 2 - XAX 3634-1 stamped G
I have had both albums from new 54/53yrs and enjoyed them thoroughly. Played through both LP's, they both played without any nicks or jumps, and there is a heavy mark on track 1 of side 1, some background noise on the 'deadwax' interludes and quiet sections, but plays well throughout.
The vinyl LP's have some marks and scuffs, plus a few light scratches, but as said have very little effect on the overall play of the album. In terms of condition rating - I am no expert, the records have been cleaned with wet wipes and was played on a Technics turntable using a new Technics P24 stylus. The overall vinyl condition of both I consider to be Very Good, based on that the vinyl looks clean with some surface marks and scuffs, the centre is clean and virtually with some spindle marks (see photos) The records plays exceptionally well throughout with a good depth of sound, especially considering their age.

Although the Caver to A saucerful of Secrets is a given due to poor condition it does have the Mis-spelt credit for Gilmour on Saucerful of Secrets Track (Gilmore).
