Description
For auction: Rare Pink Floyd single from 1968. Point me atthe sky/Careful with that axe Eugene. First UK first pressing DB8511 onColumbia in red Columbia sleeve.
Single owner (me) from new.
I have played it through recently both sides on a Rega Planar3 deck with a Goldring 1042 (top notch) cartridge.
Using the Discogs grading system (see below) the single and sleeveare VG. This is because there is some surface noise, especially noticeable inquiet passages such as the start and finish of ‘Careful….Eugene’. There are nojumps or skips throughout and it is a good listening experience.

VG+ recordwill show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previousowner who took good care of it. Defects should be more of a cosmetic nature,not affecting the actual playback as a whole. Record surfaces may show somesigns of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don'taffect one's listening experiences.
VG any ofthe defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surfacenoise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during asong's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wearwill start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel witha fingernail) that will affect the sound.
