Description
From my own collection. I am not a dealer and I try to list my items as accurately as possible.
PINK FLOYD - A SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS. FIRST PRESS. COLUMBIA SX 6258. GOOD / VG+ 1968.
UK Mono vinyl with no original inner. The front of the sleeve is laminated with no cracks or significant edge wear and is made by Garrod and Lofthouse w. Hipgnosis credit. The unlaminated rear is clean and has no great edge wear, labels etc..Very slight creasing on the sleeve. VG+ overall.
The Disc Matrixes are XAX 3633-1 /XAX 3634-1
Test played on Naim / Audio Concept high end equipment. Visually the disc would be VG+ but I found the disc is really only fair for its age on playing. There are no major scratches - mostly hairlines and nothing you can feel. There are no mistracking, jumps, sticking or warping. But, sadly, the surface noise is pretty bad on most of the disc playback. On cheaper portable machines it may sound better but mine is highly revealing ! Someone may want it for its First Press status and the sleeve is very good indeed if you have a duff one.
The labels with blue and silver printing on the black are excellent and stand out well. Some slight spindle wear.
The Disc will be deep-cleaned on my professional cleaning machine before sending to the winner. There will be a new anti-static inner, a card inner and plastic sleeve on the cover with the disc. Please see my photographs above and the technical details below.
