PINK FLOYD - LET THERE BE MORE LIGHT b/w REMEMBER A DAY JAPANESE ODEON OR 2367 ORIGINAL 1969 RED VINYL PRESSING.
THIS IS THE FINAL PINK FLOYD 45 WITH A CONTRIBUTION FROM SYD BARRETT, THAT HIM ON GUITAR DURING "REMEMBER A DAY".
THIS 1969 RELEASE IS CERTAINLY RANKS AMONGST THE HANDFUL OF RAREST WORLDWIDE PINK FLOYD 45 RELEASES. IT MOST LIKELY WAS ONLY EVER PRODUCED IN A RUN OF SEVERAL HUNDRED COPIES, FEW OF WHICH EVIDENTLY SOLD, AND IT CERTAINLY DID NOT APPEAR TO HAVE CHARTED OR SOLD IN ANY QUANTITIES AT ALL. IT WASN'T UNTIL THE BAND VISITED JAPAN IN 1971 THAT THEIR CAREER TOOK OFF THERE. THIS RED VINYL PRESSING OF THE BANDS 2ND JAPANESE 45 PRETTY MUCH DISAPPEARED UPON RELEASE.
The front of the sleeve is VG+, with a bit tiny bit of crinkling around the perimeter,other than this minor fault the sleeve is quite clean & unmarked. The back is in similar condition, clean & white. The inside of the sleeve is much cleaner than the scan makes it appear, it is clean white, not yellowed along the top. Thant's simply the nature of the scanner.
The vinyl is a very good candidate for a grading of VG+, I suspect some would grade it closer to VG+. Some light wispy hairlines can be seen when viewed directly under a bright light, in indirect light or sunlight the disc would certainly grade VG+ or better. The vinyl is a BRIGHT VIBRANT RED! There are NO SCRATCHES of any kind, it is a very nice condition vinyl, clean & unmarked.
The exotic black & silver ODEON labels are bright, clean & unmarked. Just as they were when they left the pressing plant OVER 40+ years ago. See the photo's for evidence of this.
This is a very acceptable condition copy of an extremely rare picture sleeve Pink Floyd 45 , who's to say when or if a cleaner copy may be showing up?
