Description

THE WALL a 1st Issue on the UK Harvest label from 1979. Matrix A5/B2-A3/B2. TML mastered. The records come housed in the original gatefold cover. Please note there is no mention of the four band members in purple in the space directly above the picture of the child behind bars - this is indicative of 1st issues. All later copies have the four band members names in purple. Also included are both original inner sleeves with the notch at the top and rounded corners. So, this example is 100% complete and 100% original....And it is beautifully preserved.
Vinyl (Ex+) Shiny like new and has clearly only seen very light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks, but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. We only detected a touch of light static in one track - and believe me that is very unusual. It is very important to insist on a quiet copy of THE WALL - any interference just gets in the way of the low-key audio. Best to stick to copies that have seen minimal use - like this one. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the DEFINITIVE way to hear the THE WALL.
Cover (Ex) Remains in superb condition and has clearly been looked after. Nice and white without any noticeable defects. The interior is in great condition too - just a tiny crease. A couple of tiny tiny age spots on the rear, but that really is all that's vaguely worth mentioning. The spine is intact and has seen minimal wear. The openings are sharp suggesting once again this LP has not seen much use. This example is way above average. A really fantastic specimen.
Inners (Ex) Perfectly white. No splits.
